What is a Master Token and where to find it?

The Master Token is a special API token designed for administrative use within a ConvertAPI account. It is available exclusively to users with Administrator or Owner roles and provides access to a set of privileged REST API endpoints.

With the Master Token, authorized users can retrieve and manage account-level information, including:

  • User details
  • Current usage and consumption
  • Statistics and activity logs

Each account is issued only one Master Token, ensuring a single point of control for administrative operations.

If a Master Token is compromised or exposed, it can be refreshed at any time. Once refreshed, the previous token is immediately invalidated and will no longer have access to any administrative endpoints.

Because of its elevated permissions, the Master Token should be handled securely and never exposed in client-side applications or shared publicly.

You can find and change your Master Token here: https://www.convertapi.com/a/master-token
